We’re sorry that you are not happy with the outcome of your complaint to Surrey Police. This page contains a form to request an independent review of the outcome to your complaint by our office.
When you hit the submit button, your request will be sent to our Complaint Review Manager who is employed by our Office, that is separate to Surrey Police.
In order to request a Review, you need to submit the below Form to the our office within 28 calendar days from the day you received an outcome letter from Surrey Police. For example, if your letter is dated 1 April, you have to make sure we receive your review by 29 April.
The Complaints Review Manager will then consider whether the outcome of your complaint was reasonable and proportionate, and identify any learning or recommendations that are relevant for Surrey Police.
This is not merely a quality check of what happened before. You will be kept informed of progress and a decision will be reached within three weeks. If a delay is expected, the Complaints Review Manager will get in touch to let you know and when to expect an update.

What happens to the information in my review form?
The information you provide on this form will be entered into our systems. We may also need to pass the details of your review to another organisation, such as the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) if appropriate to the handling of the review. Please note, all contents of this form (including your equality and diversity information) may also be sent onto the IOPC.
