The Police & Crime Commissioner for Surrey is responsible for commissioning services that support victims of crime, improve community safety, tackle child exploitation, and prevent reoffending. For the financial year 2024/25 the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner used a proportion of locally derived funding to support the delivery of local services. The below details recommendations for funding local victims’ services.

Surrey and Borders Partnership

  • To award Surrey and Borders Partnership £45,686,59 to extend their therapeutic interventions

East Surrey Domestic Abuse Service (ESDAS)

  • To award East Surrey Domestic Abuse Service £22,029 for dedicated intimate Stalking Advocate posts for the county 

Surrey Police, Victim and Witness Care Unit (VWCU)

  • To award Surrey Police’s Victim & Witness Care Unit £52,610.85 to increase their capacity due to increase demand 
  • To award Surrey Police’s Victims & Witness Care Unit £20,250 to fund a Children and Young Persons’ Caseworker
  • To award Surrey Police’s Victim & Witness Care Unit £14,370 for fund a non-intimate stalking caseworker
  • To award Surrey Police’s Victim & Witness Care Unit £14,500 for the ongoing management of their case management system ECINS

The Commissioner supports the use of the PCC Fund to support victims services and awards the following;

  • £45,686.59 to Surrey & Borders Partnership Trust to extend their therapeutic interventions
  • £22,029 to ESDAS for dedicated intimate stalking Advocate posts
  • £52,610.85 to VWCU for increase their capacity to meet demand
  • £20,250 to VWCU to fund a child and young person’s caseworker
  • £14,370 to VWCU for fund a non-intimate stalking caseworker
  • £14,500 to VWCU for the case management system ECINS
