For 2024/25, the Police and Crime Commissioner has made available £270,000 of funding to reduce re-offending in Surrey.
Application for Standard Grant Award above £5,000 – Reducing Re-offending Fund
The Lucy Faithfull Foundation – Suite of programmes to tackle online sexual offending in Surrey – Alice Owen
Brief overview of service/decision – To continue with the award of £15,000 to The Lucy Faithfull Foundation for this year. This is to fund a suite of programmes to tackle online sexual offending in Surrey. This project has previously been supported by the Commissioner.
Reason for funding – 1) To address the root cause of the offending behaviour and help participants understand their behaviour and the consequences of their actions and give them the knowledge and tools to prevent reoffending.
2) To reduce online offending and protect children from harm. By providing participants with help and support, they reduce the number of offenders and in doing so reduce the number of child victims.
Recommendation:
That the Commissioner supports the continuation of this standard grant from the Reducing Re-offending Fund and awards the following;
- £15,000 to Lucy Faithfull Foundation
