Executive Summary:
Circles South-East aim to support and contribute to the delivery of services related to the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) agenda. Circles South-East have extensive knowledge and proven track record of working effectively with individuals at risk of perpetrating sexual offending to reduce sexual harm.
Applications for the Grant
Funding is sought to deliver;
• Intervention for individuals at risk of engaging in sexually harmful behaviour in the night-time economy
• Training, Education and Empowerment for
- Surrey Police officers and staff
- VAWG target group (women and girls)
- Community Groups that have contact with the VAWG target group
2023/24 Funding – £20,541.25 (1st November 2023- 31st March 2024)
2024/25 Funding – £49,299
Recommendation
The Commissioner supports the recommended allocation of the Serious Violence Duty Fund in Surrey and awards the following;
- £20.541.25 to Circles South-East in 2023/24
- £49,299 to Circles South-East in 2024/25
